At exactly 2am, it becomes 1 am again, correct? And in the spring 1 am jumps to 2am? SNTP (Simple Network Time Protocol) is OK to use to keep the clock from drifting. I used it with V5R1 and Domino 5 & 6 and it makes very small adjustments that go unnoticed by Domino. My V5R3 SNTP server is not working, but that is a different problem. iSeries Access has a new GUI time adjustment feature that will 'drift' the time change. Instead of an abrupt change, it will add or subtract seconds every minute (or milliseconds every second?) until the time changes by the offset you specified. I don't know if it can be scheduled, but I was going to give that a try while Domino is running. QTIMZON is for the twice yearly that most of the country observes. The thing I was talking about was syncing your i5 clock up to a time server to automatically adjust your clock if your i5 starts to run fast or slow. Can happen whenever and numerous times. We use it to sync all of our PC times and our iSeries and i5 times. If Walter Scanlon is monitoring, it would be interesting to get his viewpoint. As far as time adjustments, I believe you need to have the QTIMZON value set which enables automatic adjustment. I'm just going off of what I read in the Information Center (which isn't very clear). We are not using V5R3 yet, so I don't have any practical knowledge.
