Rob, there is not necessarily a host at scj.com. Proper mailers (including Domino) will resolve the mail domain via the MX entries first and use those hosts, in numeric order. The problem must be with resolving mail40 and mail28.messagelabs.com or even the MX lookup for scj.com You can do NSLOOKUP on your AS/400 if you have "57xxSS1 option 31, OS/400 - Domain Name System" installed. ==================================== Tom Kreimer Information Alternatives On occasion it works 10/18/2004 08:56:55 Router: Transferred 1 messages to SCJ.COM (host mail40.messagelabs.COM) via SMTP So I suspect it's not an issue with Notes vs. antispam services Rob Berendt I have a customer whose email domain is scj.com. A biggie. When I email them I am getting: No route found to domain scj.com from server INTERNOTES02/DEKKO. Check DNS configuration. Traditionally I'd try pinging scj.com from that server. Now, they might block pings, but at least I should get DNS resolution. I don't get DNS resolution, instead I get: Unknown host, SCJ.COM. TCP3202 I tried this web site: http://www.zmailer.org/mxverify-cgi.html for scj.com and it looks like there are using an antispam service. DNS yields following MX entries scj.com (20215s) IN MX 10 mail40.messagelabs.com scj.com (20215s) IN MX 30 mail28.messagelabs.com Is the problem: - the failure to resolve the DNS entry to plain scj.com - Notes doesn't handle these correctly - ???
