It might be good to try and determine why this server is trying to connect and failing to deliver any messages before blocking. Are you certain this is not a legitimate, if aborted, attempt to deliver mail? What version of Domino server are you running? I can tell you how I would configure mine in ND6, but don't recall whether it's the same in R5. If you do need to block, you might want to block on IP address rather than domain name. Be sure to include square brackets around the IP address. These entries are dominating our SMTP server. Any idea how to track down what's happening. I've tried blocking sampinc.com and no go. I'm really a Notes novice. 07/20/2004 08:23:26 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:27 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:27 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:27 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:27 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:27 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:28 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:28 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:28 AM SMTP Server: mta121.hotels.chtah.com (66.165.100.146) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:28 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:28 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:29 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:29 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:29 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:29 AM SMTP Server: Message 1C004890 received 07/20/2004 08:23:29 AM SMTP Server: mta121.hotels.chtah.com (66.165.100.146) disconnected. 1 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:30 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:30 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:30 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:30 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:31 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:31 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:31 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:31 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:32 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:32 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:32 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:32 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) connected 07/20/2004 08:23:33 AM SMTP Server: mail.sampinc.com (63.168.160.51) disconnected. 0 message[s] received 07/20/2004 08:23:33 AM SMTP Server: qdm.quickdrawmedia77.com (66.109.23.107) connected Thanks, Mark Mark D.
