Good News Everybody!

The new search engine is LIVE!

Please report any problems to david (at) midrange.com.

Let me see if I've got you right. You HAVE to deploy the scan engine.
However do you only need to worry about *SECOFR if you plan on having it
automatically update the scan engine? Was that your question? That might
be right.
And to confuse an iSeries newbie, you can give it a user type of *SECOFR
but not give it any special authorities, for example a user type of
*SECOFR and special authorities of *NONE instead of *USRCLS, and I bet it
bombs. I wonder just what special authority it needs, and why? And would
it be better handled otherwise?

Re: Scan Mail for Lotus Notes 2.6

I saw that as well. I don't think it will have an effect on anything by
changing it from *USER to *SECOFR, however, I know Lotus doesn't recommend

changing anything with that profile.

Do we even have to worry about that if we don't have to deploy the
scanengine?

Anyone concerned about raising QNOTES to a user type of *SECOFR as
recommended by Trend in the new version?
Another workaround, (perhaps they just don't understand IFS security)?
