I think I figured out where the support for Trend is located.

Their ftp site ends in .com.pf
That pf should be in French Polynesia according to:
http://www.frogfeet.co.uk/1/suffix.html
Explains the accents.
Gee, I wonder if I need to take in some sample data by hand? :-)
