Don't you have a DNS?  If you had a properly set up DNS, and had the DNS
listed in your XP settings, then you wouldn't have to mess with a host
table on each of your clients.

Having had to change the ip addresses of many of our servers I became a
big fan of DNS and the evils of host table entries.

Got it working.  There's a "HOSTS" file in Windows/System32/Driver/ETC
that
must have the IP and Name of the Domino computer.  Added that info to the
file and immediately connected!!!  Thanks for your input!!
