Processing a timestamp value from the iSeries

I have a developer who is accessing DB2 data from our iSeries with a
iSeries based Domino server.  He is calling a stored procedure.  Instead of
using a result set we are using IN and OUT parameters.  He is able to
process the 30 or so parameters.  The ones he is having problems with are
the timestamps.  He gets the following message:
"ExecProcedure was not successful.  Syntax of date, time or timestamp value
not valid."
