That should free up disk space. Without it, unused space is made available for Notes, but doesn't free up disk space. (Kind of like reusing deleted records on a DB2/400 file. The space is available to reuse, but the file still takes up just as much disk) gcrane@johansonmfg.com Sent by: domino400-admin@midrange.com 01/15/2002 04:52 PM Please respond to domino400 To: domino400@midrange.com, midrandge-l@midrange.com cc: Subject: Mail using Disk Space I have had an number of people 'archive' their mail to their local drives. I run "compact -S 10" every night. Will this just compress the file on the 400 or will it free up disk space. Will I be forced to do a reclaim storage in order to regain disk space? _______________________________________________ This is the Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 (DOMINO400) mailing list To post a message email: DOMINO400@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/domino400 or email: DOMINO400-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/domino400.
