Thanks to everyone for your replies concerning
our Domino email server and relaying third-pary mail (spam mail). After
several tries and using various suggestions, I think the problem has been
corrected. The only way we were able to stop the relaying was to put our
email server's IP address along with the IP address subnet of all users that use
this server in the "Allow messages only from the following external internet
hosts to be sent to external internet domains: " As of now, it appears to be
allowing all of our traffic through, but denying any relayed
messages.
We tried using domain names in the "allow traffic"
fields - didn't work. We tried using an " * " in the "deny traffic" fields
- didn't work. Finally a suggestion from Chuck Morehead on the Midrange-L
list came through suggesting to use specific IP addresses. That did the
trick!!
Thanks again to all who replied and offered
suggestions!!
