I am a Lotus Development CLP and I found that the cheapest and best way to
get certified it to go to
http://www.lotus.com/home.nsf/welcome/yearofcertification and read the red
books that they recommend from cover to cover. It is not the fastest way
but it will give you more knowledge than you would get going to classes
that teach specifically to the test. OH and also MAKE SURE YOU PURCHASE AND
DOWNLOAD THE PRACTICE TEST. If you practice those tests until you know 95%
of the answers you WILL most likely pass. There were at least 15 to 20
questions on the practice exam that were exactly the same or very similar
to the questions on the real test.

As for the iseries test and courses I am not sure, I also aspire to become
iseries certified.

I would like to do this someday. Perhaps you can find good training
locally. Whittman Hart used to provide excellent Lotus education. I think
they dropped it. I know their Indy branch did. A gentleman who used to do
it now has his own training company down there. They even have a class
geared towards the test. I think they even have free study days for the
test. Perhaps a search for LAEC or Lotus Authorized Education Centers
would yield a local company. Or is the test you mention AS400/Domino
specific?

Later this month I'm starting the trek to obtain my Lotus CLP and need to
get the AS/400(iSeries) Lotus cert to go along with it. Has anybody here
taken the test, I think it's IBM's 353. There is a 3 day class in Atlanta,
do I need it? The class is $1600+ and then add travel from the west coast
makes it a little steep.

Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.

thanks
