I wish that the news were brighter. If you listen/believe what many of the recruiters have to say then your confidence may increase. However, from my personal standpoint, I don't see things as being a whole loot better than they have been for the past few years. Gone are the days of high paying long term contracts. I have accepted contracts for half of what I was billing 10 years ago. While I enjoy the freedom of contracting, I am giving serious consideration of going back to a 'real job'. Best of luck to you.
