You're correct. E-mail, alone, does not work. I made many phone calls, and followed up. Previous clients in Michigan all had projects on hold. In fact, I have been in contact with them, recently, and still are in a "hold" pattern. I was supposed to start a consulting project at one client second quarter, then it turned to third quarter. Now, it won't start until next year. They have all had lay-offs. Rates are also depressed.
