Y'allI've always had CODE ask me whether I really want to close the command shell when shutting down. I don't know and have not tried to find out whether this can be stopped.
But the original post seemed to be a problem that the command shell became the active window after a compile. Different problem, maybe?

Bill,I had a similar problem.... I usually compile using PDM. One time I used the prompt through CODE to compile and then the Command Shell kept popping every time I tried to shut down CODE. If I remember correctly, the way I stopped this behavior was to delete the file C:\wdsc\system\command shell.JohnFrom: Bill Layman <blayman@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Reply-To: "CODE/400 Discussion & Support" <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "CODE/400 Discussion & Support" <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Command Shell Date: Mon, 19 Dec 2005 15:12:14 -0500 MIME-Version: 1.0Received: from mail.midrange.com ([69.3.23.28]) by bay0-mc11-f14.bay0.hotmail.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(6.0.3790.211); Mon, 19 Dec 2005 12:12:27 -0800 Received: from rivendell.midrange.com (localhost [127.0.0.1])by mail.midrange.com (8.13.1/8.13.1) with ESMTP id jBJKCNTj022547;Mon, 19 Dec 2005 14:12:23 -0600 Received: from DOMINO.TSOMERVILLE.COM (mail.tsomerville.com [65.120.79.99])by mail.midrange.com (8.13.1/8.13.1) with ESMTP id jBJKCEWc022523for <code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx>; Mon, 19 Dec 2005 14:12:20 -0600 Received: from [192.168.1.239] ([192.168.1.239])by DOMINO.TSOMERVILLE.COM (Lotus Domino Release 6.5.4FP1)with ESMTP id 2005121915104871-7559 ;Mon, 19 Dec 2005 15:10:48 -0500 X-Message-Info: NDMZeIBu+splKQLQTHTYRdfTl3tfBBjXiOcA8s3gDg0= User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040804 Netscape/7.2 (ax)X-Accept-Language: en-us, enX-MIMETrack: Itemize by SMTP Server on domino/tsomerville(Release6.5.4FP1|June 19, 2005) at 12/19/2005 15:10:48,Serialize by Router on domino/tsomerville(Release 6.5.4FP1|June 19,2005) at 12/19/2005 15:10:54,Serialize complete at 12/19/2005 15:10:54 X-Virus-Scanned: ClamAV 0.87.1/1213/Mon Dec 19 08:48:34 2005 onrivendell.midrange.comX-Virus-Status: Clean X-BeenThere: code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: "CODE/400 Discussion & Support" <code400-l.midrange.com>List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/code400-l>,<mailto:code400-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe>List-Archive: <http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l> List-Post: <mailto:code400-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> List-Help: <mailto:code400-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=help>List-Subscribe: <http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/code400-l>,<mailto:code400-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=subscribe>Errors-To: code400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx Return-Path: code400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxX-OriginalArrivalTime: 19 Dec 2005 20:12:28.0387 (UTC) FILETIME=[88F56B30:01C604D8]I started having Code act wired after I do a compile it switches to the command shell.
