>> I am trying to start CODE on the iSeries (STRCODE), but every time it says that the server I would like to open is already started. Personally I never bother with STRCODE, so I don't often see this problem any more - but the most common cause of this that I have encountered is that when the communication configuration was done on the PC someone (usually an STRCODE user) specified the host name of the autostaret server as OS400. Right click on the comms daemon and select "Properties" and see if you have a server defined with that name - if you do then press the shutdown button and then delete it - adding back whatever name you wish to use for those times when you don't want an STRCODE session. If this is not the problem, then it means that either a previous server job is still around or (and I'm not sure about this) that another user is hooked into your current library and already has an STRCODE session going. Regardless you can always do the STRCODE and specify and alternative server name - OS400A or something. Hope this helps. Jon Paris Partner400 www.Partner400.com
