Hi Ben, Please check your Communication Properties: STRCODE Settings-->Announce connection with a message This value should be unchecked to prevent the message you describe. You will need to manually shutdown and restart the Communication Daemon. hope this helps! I've been using CODE/400 for about a month now and find it very useful despite a few annoyances. One of them may strictly be a Windows issues, but I was wondering if anyone else experiences this and/or has a work-around: When I ever I compile a program, DDS, etc. from CODE/400, I first get a pop-up box saying "Connection request from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" After the compile is finished, I will receive another pop-up box stating either the command was successful or that I had some errors. Almost consistently, this second pop-up box will appear with a "beep" but behind some of the windows already on the screen. I have to minimize certain windows before I can actually see it and dismiss it. At the end of the day before I shutdown, I usually have 20-30 of these accumulated in the background. This is really a minor annoyance, but is there something I can do to either turn off these messages or make them always appear on top? My workstation has Windows 2000 with SP3 installed. I'm using WDT v5.1 (I think it's officially been renamed WDSC now, right?) with its SP5 installed, and we have V5R1 on the 400 with the relevent PTF's. I rarely use STRCODE from a 400 session unless I need to. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ben Pforsich Bob Evans Farms, Inc.
