I have never ever seen anything shipped with the latest drivers or service
packs.  If I buy any software (even pre-loaded) the very first thing I do is
get the latest drivers.  Keeping this remotely on topic, WDSc V4 shipped and
immediately (on GA day) IBM released SP1 for it.
