> RPG pormpting is not implemented in JAVA. >>Okay... so why is CL prompting? Can't the same ... (what? Implementation? >>Platform? Program?) be used for CL prompting? Why use two different tools? >>Is there a lack of standardization? RPG prompt was developed when JAVA was unknown; enhancement has been restricted by the legacy. The new addition CL GUI Prompt for CODE was created last year. When I first came out of the school, 'Assembly Language' was my standardization, ..than PLM, ..later on, C/C++, and now I am trying to catch up with JAVA. Maybe I will skip to LINUX tomorrow. In my opinion, we, here in IBM, are always trying to keep up with the latest technology, for better or worse, like it or not. Or I will still be staring at the green screen today.
