I have to clarify this and say more. I was referring to macros used by CODE editor packaged in the new IDE. However, the imbedded editor (JLPEX) in the new IDE will not support macros. The JLPEX will not support REXX yet and therefore, CODE macros will have to be rewritten for the JLPEX editor. But it begs another question.... For those of us who haven't found the time to learn Code macro programming, does it even make sense to bother at this point? After all, it's no secret that the future RPG editor will be part of the Eclipse based IDE, and I suspect that it has a completely different customization language. Can anyone from IBM comment about whether or not the macro languages are the same?
