Will you guys (Phil & George) be at Spring COMMON? We missed you at the Fall 2001 meeting. -----Original Message----- From: coulthar@ca.ibm.com [mailto:coulthar@ca.ibm.com] Sent: Sunday, March 24, 2002 3:57 PM To: code400-l@midrange.com Subject: Collorary to: Re: Eclipse replacing CODE/400? A couple quick updates to my last note: 1. the article on Eclipse is actually named "Introducing Eclipse" and is co-authored by myself and George Farr ... I forgot to mention George :-). George is of course the manager of RPG, and also the development manager of the exciting new IDE coming your way soon. That should hint at the importance we place on RPG (and yes, COBOL) in our strategic planning for ebusiness applications and tooling. Of course, you are all planning your next applications to be ebusiness applications, correct? And considering using WebFacing to turn existing applications into ebusiness applications. Your customers, users and competitors all want to know... oh, and your CEO :-). 2. If anyone feels it important to get the inside track on our strategy and plans, our doors at the shiny new Toronto IBM lab are always open for customer briefings. These can be arranged in concert with your IBM rep by contacting me via email. We'll ask to you sign away your kids, then we'll disclose everything we know to you, complete with demos, discussions and some great coffee and cookies. Well, the cookies are great at least (and not related to Browsers).
