Hi all,

I was curious....does VARPG have extra conversion capabilities that are not
available with RPGILE? You see, we have an application that converts AS/400
data to ascii for download to the store controllers using QFRXLT to do the
field translation. I now have to write an application that does the
opposite, converting ascii to ebcdic. I found the QDCXLATE API and I assume
that may be a newer conversion utility. However, I'm wondering if I might be
able to create a non-GUI VARPG application that could make the data
conversion process easier? Does this make any sense or am I way out in left
field? Perhaps, someone may have even another solution......

Thanks,

Chris Proctor
