>Our AS/400 is at V4R1 and CODE/400 is V3R2M1 service pack 6. Hi Don! I had good experience with that level of Code, but it was quite a while ago. I don't remember all of the changes from that time 'til now, but there have been a bunch, especially in the communications arena. When I used STRCODE (you don't have to any more) I specified the IP address of my PC and not a name. The oldest AS/400 I can find is at V4R2, and it has CMNTYPE and room for the IP address if I press F9. Maybe you haven't got the right PTFs loaded on the 400. If I remember, there were some separate ones just for Code that may not have gone out on a cume. If you can't get the communications working but want to try the editor anyway, FTP some source to the PC and open it with Windows Explorer. In fact, if you map a drive to your source you can use Explorer to drag/drop the source from your PC to the 400. --buck
