This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi Phil, I think in my earlier note I described how to set up the creation defaults. You can do this to change the defaults for referenced fields and the field length! If you want to insert a bunch of fields from the same ref file then why not use the prompt? (select the record then do Insert->Database_reference->prompt, or push F8). With the dbref prompt you can select more than one ref field and insert them all in one go. Mike Mike Hockings, P.Eng. Mike, This is probably the single most thing I dislike about Code Designer and display files! This is awful! Every single time I insert a referenced field the QGPL file is in the dialog box. Then I have to enter the library. Then code gets the list. Then I have to enter the file. Then code gets the list. Takes a long time if I want to insert more than one referenced field. The second most thing I dislike is the default value for inserting a new field is 10. I'd rather it be 1. Phil _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
