<GENERAL RANT>

It sure would be nice if  User>Preferences presented a nice tabbed dialogue
box with these various options, instead of the raw text file. While I
appreciate the power and flexibility this gives us, I also resent it being
the only alternative. I have too much to do already, without the additional
burden of learning to program the editor itself.
