Chris,
Don't forget to delete your Communications XML files.
If they are corrupt they may be causing evfcsrvd.exe to crash.
You can do this without reinstalling.

Hi all,

Well, I tried the install of V5R1 again last night on my XP with no luck.
The comm daemon will not come up! I keep getting the error about
"evfcsvrd.exe encountered a problem and needs to close."

It's too bad, because I love using it when working from home, but if I
can't
get it to work I might as well uninstall it!

I've read a lot of posts about having problems with the uninstall. Is
there
a way to completely uninstall the product to where if they ever get it
working properly, I can reinstall it without having a problem?

If someone knows anything about the evfcsvrd error, I'm not opposed to
trying something else before removing it. Thanks in advance for any input.
