I deleted (actually just moved) all the files from the
        C:\Program Files\IBM\Shared Files
directory, killed any and all "ef" processes and restarted my computer.
Hey! No Dr. Watson upon startup! So, being the bold guy that I am, I went
into the Communications Console and re-established my server information to
my AS/400. It worked, just fine. So, now I'm back to where I was nearly a
week ago.

Now, the dilemma part. I have the V5R1 CD. Should I go ahead and install
it or leave this sleeping Doberman lie? What are the advantages I'll find
if I choose to do that. Okay, okay, just point me to the V5R1 info for
Code/400... Please.

And, THANK YOU! to all the individuals offering their help. I am very
grateful!

Dave

IIRC, you can't upgrade - you've got to uninstall/reinstall. After the
uninstall, delete the WDT400 directory. That should wipe out any
stragglers. (make sure you don't have any source code in the WDT400
directory.) And it sounds like you read my post about losing the registry
entries which contain the extra data about the source member.

I didn't have any trouble installing V5R1, btw.

Phil
