Hi Bob, Yes, CODE/400 has something similar to this in CODE Projects. When you create a project you manually set the working local directory but it will optionally create the directory structure you've specified if it doesn't already exist. You can also change the local working directory at anytime through the properties dialog. This arrangement seems to work well enough though I can see where the functionality you describe could also be beneficial as long as you have the ability to override the local directory. My inquiry is aimed more at being able to completely off-load the source code from the AS/400 and store it locally and just sending a "temporary" source file up to the AS/400 to compile. This "temporary" source file could be deleted after the compile completed. CODE/400 has all the functionality required to do this except for the ability to handle the /COPY modules. Thanks for the reply and the information. So if you have a library named MYTEST and a source file named QRPGLESRC and a source member named EDITCUST, you will have a member on your local PC named: [base-dir]\mytest\qrpglesrc\editcust.rpgle If the /COPY's are stored in QCPYSRC (just for grins) they would be in the directory named as follows: [base-dir]\mytest\qcpysrc\[my copy source member name].rpgle Where [base-dir] is a base subdirectory you've specified where all of your source is transferred to and from. I would think that Code/400 should have some kind of similar set up?
