Two comments Rob. 1) It has been _way_ more stable for me on W2K than on 98SE (is _anything_ stable on 98SE?) - I'm talking orders of magnitude here. I should mention that my laptop was upgraded to W2K by a scratch install - previous attempts on other machines to use the MS upgrade path had resulted in strangely configured and very unreliable systems. Scratch install is painful but has worked out well for me. 2) On those occasions when I do have a problem it is much easier to see the tasks that need to be killed and get rid of them because W2K lets you sort the task list so you can seek and destroy all those naughty little evf... routines.
