I will make this change for V5R1M1 (not in a service pack). I hope that is OK.. I know it is a bit of a drag coding the EVAL after you've gotten used to not coding them ! By next release do you mean the next fixpack or r520? The "EVAL endxx = '1'" workaround is fine, but it's not keying in all the eval's that makes up for having to key al the darn semi-colons at the end of each line. Oops, sorry wrong list. ;-) -----Original Message----- From: mcumming@ca.ibm.com [mailto:mcumming@ca.ibm.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2001 5:49 AM To: code400-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: RNF5247E I presume that the problem you're talking about is in V5R1 in free form calcs. This problem was fixed on the Host with ptf SI01625. CODE/400 will pick up this fix in the next release. The following code would issue RNF5247. dendxx s 1a /free endxx = '1'; *inlr = '1'; /end-free If you code EVAL endxx = '1'; the error will not occur. The iSeries did that too until I got our ops people to apply a ptf. Sorry, but I don't recall the ptf number. _______________________________________________ This is the CODE/400 Discussion & Support (CODE400-L) mailing list To post a message email: CODE400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/code400-l or email: CODE400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/code400-l.
