Hi Reeve, 1) Try pressing Ctrl-Home to move to row 1 col 1 then press Alt+S to split the line (this will give you a blank first line). 2) The enter key behaviour can differ between lanuguage profiles. Most AS/400 profiles behave the way you describe (and somewhat contradictory to the help) so that it best emulates SEU. Enter in Java source behaves as the help describes RPG users have also the option of enabling Smart Enter, which furthur changes the behaviour of the Enter Key. Of course, any user can change the behaviour of the Enter to be any way they would like by going through the Options->Key Behaviour->Customize... menu option. There doesn't appear to be a way to add a line before the first line in CODE/400. You can add a line > line 1 and move line 1 after the inserted line, of course... 2. The "Keys help" panel says the Enter key "Split[s] the line at the current cursor position, or insert[s] a new line when at the end of the current line." a. This isn't right; the current action is (IMHO) just right. b. The text should read something like "Insert a new line after the current line regardless of cursor position and duplicate the previous format, if one is in effect."
