Phil, Your problem is a simple one, change your action so that Remote Command is not checked. (CODESRV is a DOS command). As for your questions: When I want to strip out line numbers on a local file after a Get, this is what I do: 1) Open the file in CODE Editor 2) Change the properties so that Contains Sequence numbers is deselected (this will reload the file and you will now see the sequence numbers in the edit portion and not in the sequence number area) 3) In Row 1, Col 1, Press Alt+R 4) Press Ctrl+End to go to the end of the file 5) Put my cursor over the last line of the sequence numbers & date stamp, Press Alt+R (the whole rectangle should now be selected) 6) Press Alt+D (the rectangle is deleted) Yes, you should definitely use the NOTAG option if you would like to avoid sequence numbers when getting files from the host. That is the whole purpose of the option :-) Violaine Batthish CODE/400 Project Lead batthish@ca.ibm.com IBMCA(BATTHISH) WDT/400 page: http://www.ibm.com/software/ad/wdt400 WDT/400 Support : http://www.ibm.com/software/ad/wdt400/support "Phil" <sublime78ska@yaho To: <CODE400-L@midrange.com> o.com> cc: Sent by: Subject: RE: Get from host owner-code400-l@mi drange.com 07/24/2001 01:32 PM Please respond to CODE400-L John and Volaine, Ok, I got it working in a dos window. I'm trying to get it to work in CPO. I get CPD0012. I added this action: CODESRV GET &Z &L/&F(&N) &LD\ (NOTAG It looks like this: <OS400> CODESRV GET OS400 PHILSRC/QSRC_FSC(TEST) D:\Docume~1\phil\MyDocu~1\source\FSC_Fu~1\ (NOTAG and I get CPD0012 Chacters in qualifier beginning 'QSRC_FSC(T' not valid. When I cut/pasted it into a dos window it works. Also, I have a couple related questions: 1. is there a way to PUT a source member (that's on the pc) that has line numbers and dates so that the line numbers are resequenced and the date is set to all zeros, as if the file on the PC had no line numbers or dates? 2. Or is there a way in Code to get rid of line numbers and dates? 3. Is the way to do this to GET the source files w/o line numbers and dates in the first place, using the (NOTAG option?
