Hi Folks,

In V3R2M3 we introduced a very basic HTML parser to be included with CODE.
Actually, the parser was built using the sample provided as an example. If
you wish to extend the editor to support languages other than those
provided, please refer to the following information (Jon is right though,
you'll need to be able to write & compile local C source):

A sample parser can be found in the x:\WDT400\EXTRAS directory.
The sample is a simple PASCAL parser and is named LXPRPAS.C
There is also a couple of other C files that might be of some assistance:
LXMIN2.C and LXPROTO.C

You can find additional documentation for extending CODE Editor in this way
from here:
Help Home Page->Components->Editor->User's Guide->Building External Editor
Commands

Also, If you come up with something you'd like to share with other users,
please mail it to me, and I can put it on the CODE web page along with
other macros and tools that users have given us.

thanks,

 >> How do I set the color scheme for CODE to highlight TAGS and reserved
words for these languages the way it does for the "original" languages ?

It already does it for HTML - I've used it quite a lot lately.

As to the others maybe an IBMer can answer but from my distant memories I
seem to recall that you have to write a tokenizer for the langauge in
question and that needs to be done in C or whatever (no matter how good you
are with Rexx!)
