First, I installed the JDK and allowed the JRE provided in the sdk to be the default jvm. I said 'NO' the first time because I already have a JRE with netscape 6. Couldn't get it to install until I reinstalled the jdk with 'YES'. Second problem with VAJ was the batch file, when appending to the class path and path variables, would get an out of environment space error. So I added those to my autoexec.bat file and instead of launching VAJ with the batch file I launch it with ide.exe. The help doesn't work. It's installed but it can't find localhost:4xxxxx (whatever the port number is.) I got everything else to install. I won't know how well it works until next week once our as/400 is upgraded to v4r5 (I know there is a ptf for v4r4.) Big problem is the splash screen. Uses up a lot of memory. On W2K (professional) I had different problems. I can't install the as400 toolbox. No matter what I do. The setup shows it's installed but I can't find it anywhere. Where is it on the cdrom? I'll just copy it manually. Even on this powerful machine with a lot of memory, the splash screen degraded performance. Phil __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
