Cyndi, I am on the same version of websphere as you. As I understand it, you only need the interactive strcode in this version to get prompting on clp's or if you are using the debugger. When you start the editor if the communication deamon is not already in your system tray it should get started upon opening the editor or designer. I get a message saying I need a back-end ptf. I just say okay and the source I am about to edit loads in the tool that I started. About the strcode, to start the interactive server you I just do a strcode command and hit enter using *none for the user. In the Strcode settings in the communication Daemons properties, I put announce connection with a message and I get A message saying a connection request has been received. After I Press Okay I get a beep when the interactive session is started by the strcode command. I did not put any user or password. I hope this helps Good Luck Wayne ----- Original Message ----- From: Cyndi Bradberry <CyndiB@IHFA.ORG> To: CODE400-L (E-mail) <CODE400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2000 1:30 PM Subject: New Version Help ! > Hi, > > We installed the new version of ADTS/CS that is renamed the WebSphere > Development Tools for AS/400 (4.5.1).
