Thanks, Jon. I've added that as well. Should have remembered it from my OS/2v4 Java installs. In my case though it _seems_ that the trick was to use Sun's SDK v1.2.2. IBM's 1.1.8 didn't work and Sun's 1.3 didn't work with the demo version of Code/400. Perhaps the production version will be different when it arrives. Odd that Code/400 requires an SDK at all though, seems to me the RT should suffice. Oh well. The good news is all my ranting internally has gotten 5769-JC1 & JV1 installed on the development box. :-) Code/400 IS worth all the trouble, though. Thanks to you and Susan pushing it at the LV tech conferences each year, an IGNITe400.com article Chuck Lewis posted, and IBM's getting the price down to a reasonable level, I could finally get 13 seats justified. Getting the other programmers happy with it will be the next hurdle. There's more than a few old dogs in this kennel. -----Original Message----- From: Jon.Paris@hal.it [mailto:Jon.Paris@hal.it] Sent: Tuesday, August 08, 2000 9:30 AM To: CODE400-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: Java connection Sorry for the delay in responding - my original response was from the wrong Id and got "bounced" >> but still not get beyond the "Unable to load ..... correctly." message The thing that got it going for me was to add a . (i.e. a period) at the end of the CLASSPATH. So mine finishes with a semi-colon followed by a period. I had more problems getting it working with Win 2K but that is working OK now too. +--- | This is the CODE/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to CODE400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to CODE400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to CODE400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: larry@paque.net +--- +--- | This is the CODE/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to CODE400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to CODE400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to CODE400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: larry@paque.net +---
