Jon, Mark Phippard at Softlanding and Eric Simpson at IBM determined that the cause of the problem is a size limitation in Win9x that prevents the full creation command from being passed from Code to the /400. No one at Softlanding had been aware of this difference between WinNT and Win9x before, but now they have a test machine set up with Win98. Mark took a suggestion that I made about trimming the length of the command to be passed and built a work-around for the limitation, which involves a "short-form" TurnOver compile command on the /400 and a modified turnmake.lx macro on the PC. This has been working very well for me. I don't know if there's anything IBM can do about the limitation other than document it, since it's caused by a Microsoft design limitation. I need to get our system administrator here to add me to our contact list with IBM so I can report this problem and get an official response. Thanks for responding! Code communications library . . . *USRPRF *USRPRF, Name Code server name . . . . . . . . *DFT *DFT, Name Unfortunately, I haven't been able to use Code/400 with Turnover. I imagine the macro would possibly need some modification based upon which server name you're using. +--- | This is the CODE/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to CODE400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to CODE400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to CODE400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: larry@paque.net +---
