Eric, What Dave said about STRCODE being required for prompting CL is correct. The CODE Designer handles DSPF, PRTF, and PF files. It does not handle logical files. I'm using STRCODE from a 5250 session, though - prompting won't work if you use the other method, since that runs in a batch job on the /400 rather than an interactive one. I haven't tried Code Designer on database files yet. I knew that it is supposed to work for physicals, but I don't recall seeing anywhere that it works for logicals.
