FROM: FLAGLER KEENE Flagler, Rick: Manager, IT DATE: DECEMBER 13, 1999 SUBJECT: Re: Compiling VARPG to Java - errors about SDS and INFDS st Claus, OK, I tried changing my INFDS and SDS structures to contain length only. If your message is true, though, why does the Java compiler issue a bunch of error messages as follows for each of the sub-fields I've defined in the INFDS with length only?: RNV7030E The name or indicator PGMNAM is not defined. RNV3939E The subfield start position is not valid; subfield is ignored. RNV3937E To and from positions must be specified for subfield of a PSDS or INFDS structure. Can't have it both ways. Is SDS and INFDS exempt from the Java length-only rules?
