That's great Mark, thanks. I'd spent a lot of time trying to get openCOBOL
to work. I'd seen most of the links already but in my haste I did not
notice that the Microfocus version was free. That might explain the demise
of most of the other solutions. You just click and install. I'm now up and
running COBOL applications on my laptop at home and discovering Visual
Studio as well.
