The only new thing that has entered COBOL that might have any
relevance is pointers - but they came in at V3R2 and besides they
can't help if you don't have the field to reference. The only other
new thing in recent years is supprt for XML processing and I don't see
where that fits into this picture.
If this an IBM Copy member, then wouldn't the simple thing be to ask
them? They must have changed the interface - and if they did so they
must have instructions somewhere as to the changes to be made.
