Jim, Thanks for your response. I submitted it to COBOL because the PARMS being passed to the CL are editted in a cobol program, and I thought it might have something to do with that fact. However, someone else has responded with the correct answer, as you suggested, the log CL command parameter was not set to *yes. Once I changed it to *yes, the command appeared in the DSPJOBLOG. You need to have the Level, Severity and Text set at the correct levels to have the job log anything at all. Also, you might want the "Log CL program commands" parameter set to *YES.
