Re: PDF versions of the V5R4 ILE manuals

Thanks for pointing out the "this release" section.  I missed that one.  I
guess I was looking for the format to be the same as the WDSC online version
I have been trying to use.  It is listed differently.  That is why I did not
think they were the same manual.  I really appreciate the response.

BTW, have you seen an ILE COBOL summary manual in PDF format?  I know they
used to print one for OPM, and it was handy to have.  Had all the reserved
words, functions, what the copy statements did, definitions of status codes
for the file status - it was all there in compressed, easy to use format.

Yes, they way they titled the sections is confusing.  They now have a
section titled "What's New in This Release?" which is for V5R4.  I suppose
it's accurate the way they do it, but I also find that I can easily miss
it when it's titled that way.  But then again, naming things in
documentation is not a task I envy.

btw - sorry about the "Here's the ..." comments.  I had thought of sending
you the PDFs directly, but then when I reviewed them I realized they were
probably what you already had and changed back to replying on the mailing
list.  As usual shuffling a dozen things at once, I messed up on
correcting my text.
