The compiler needs to be told to use date/time/timestamp fields. You 1st must have your COBOL program be ILE (CBLLE source type). Then when you compile, you can change the command each time to allow time fields. I like to use the process statement so that the compiler will allow date fields every time I compile that source. My process statement looks like this on most my programs; PROCESS APOST DATETIME DATE TIME TIMESTAMP UNREF LINKPRC This tells the program that I use single quotes instead of double (personal preference), to allow all date, time, and timestamp fields, to show fields in the debug, even if they are not referenced in the program, and all calls are links to procedures, not programs, unless specifically changed.
