I would suggest collaboration on this list, maybe even starting a COBOL/400 oriented "sharing" web site would be a better use of your time than waiting for IBM to do a Redbook. For that matter you could contribute examples to the set of a dozen or so that are already at the iSeries network web site. Not wishing to put a damper on things but consider this. The RPG Redbook "Who Knew ..." is one of the most popular ever ... still getting hundreds of downloads a month after more than two years! But despite the fact that it only contains half of the originally proposed content, IBM still won't fund part 2. For the most part IBM aren't funding Redbooks unless they are on something new and sexy. IFS and COBOL aren't exactly in that category. Jon Paris Partner400
