Thanks for that clarification.  I have stated to others "same activation
group" and they have taken it to mean;   JobA and JobB are running programs
with an activation group named "RUBBERGOAT", and they have understood that
external data and files can be shared between programs from the different
jobs.  Thus the wording I used helps keep things from getting out of hand.

Can RPG share the data from a COBOL program when a structure is defined as
"external"?  I'm NOT an RPG programmer, and have not coded RPG for over 12
years, so I'm behind the times on the new functionality of RPG.
