Eric, I just re-read your post indicating that your using "ADVANCING". I should have read it closer the first time (its been one of *those* days...) :( Actually, you would have to change your code to do ONE line advances - which you probably don't want to do since your in a learning environment. I used to do this to save paper and aid in viewing. After I was satisfied with the look onscreen, I would go back and increment the ADVANCING phrases (and remove redundant ones) before sending it to the printer :) Sorry that I misled you... If HOD works/looks like a normal AS/400 green screen, then you could enter +1 the control field at the top of the screen when viewing the spool file: File . . . . . : QPRINT Control . . . . . +1 Find . . . . . . and watch the top right corner Page/Line counter. Each time you press enter (with +1 entered) the Line counter will increment X number of lines based on a real -or- blank line.
