Terry,

In the process I have "nomonoprc" but not "apost". Can that make a
difference? I normally use "apost" when I write code; this piece was
downloaded from a site. He uses double-quotes for all his literal; in an
effort to get this thing running; I just made the necessary changes.

Also, I'm using pic s9(9) binary as the pic clause for my return-code; I'm
just calling it ApiReturn. Noticed you're using s9(09); that makes me
wonder if s9(9) could be generating bad code?

One other thing. The original had been compiled as a module and included in
another object resulting from a CRTPGM. Since we're calling this one
directly, I opted for CRTBNDCBL to run in QILE.

Appreciate your suggestions. Any further insight would surely be welcome.
Thanks. -- Jay
