I think there is TAATOOL RTVTAPID or something that can run from a CL, never
used it but it sounds right! course that is no gaurantee for 400 commands.

Hi.

I ned to move file from a library to a tape, and recover the tape number
for updating the catalog of files whith it for futur reference.

Is there any comand from cobol or Cl that asks the tape number on the
robot and returns it to the caller?
