You can ask about Scope delimiters, explain INSPECT STRING and UNSTRING and while it is only a matter of preference or perhaps shop standards, "length of paragraphs", Naming conventions, use of upper and lower case etc. You can also ask about Call by (Reference / Value) when each is appropriate to use.
 
Well thats it for me, it has been at least a hundred years since my last COBOL interview. :)
