Title: RE: DTAARA in COBOL

Sure.  Call a CL pgm to get the data area!

 *    GET COMPANY DATA AREA WHICH CONTAINS COMPANY NUMBER
      MOVE 'DTACOMP   '    TO DTAARANAME.
      CALL 'GETDTAARA' USING DTAARANAME DTAARAVAL.

where GETDTAARA is the following CL pgm:

 PGM PARM(&DTAARANAME &DTAARAVAL)
 DCL VAR(&DTAARANAME) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10)
 DCL VAR(&DTAARAVAL) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(2000)
 RTVDTAARA DTAARA(&DTAARANAME) RTNVAR(&DTAARAVAL)
 ENDPGM

Subject: DTAARA in COBOL

Can anyone point me in the right direction to demonstrate how to access a data
area in COBOL other than the LDA.

I need to access an  area created by CRTDTAARA and also the *LDA within one
program.
