Your current approach of simply using undocumented options also means you're
working in an unsupported environment from an IBM point of view. Assuming
that you want your code to be supported I can help you along that path. Note
that, as I'm sure you've found, opening is not the same as using :)

"lobptrs=Y, sqludt=Y", which I stumbled across in Google, but so far I've
not found anything equivalent that allows the use of datalinks. I guess at
"datalink=Y" and "dlink=Y" but no joy.

Anyone know the answer?
